2067Thanks Vineet for sharing your thoughts on the attributes required for tomorrow's leaders & I fully agree with your views. In addition to the above-mentioned I also liked the concept of setting short term goals & revisiting on its accomplishment.

2070Thanks for such a thoughtful article. I find all all the points very valid especially - point #2 - Suport Players. I truly believe leaders are people who have vision, belief in their vision, and have a team who is best utilized by leaders to achieve the vision. Vision and morale / dedication level of team are extremely imortant parameters of a true leader. Thanks again for sharing your thoughts.

2105Its nice to see how you mentioned these 5 points by taking a example of the 30 days resolutions. I am agreed that most of the person has forgotten there dreams,to do items that they had taken on the new year eve. I am also a entrepreneur and with the same zeal started his venture but within a tenure of 9 months failed miserably. Surely will act upon the above said points continuously over a period of time.

2116Nice observation and thanks for the morale boosting write up. I dont want to be called as (tomorrow's) leader but I'd like to add my views. Wrt to #1, more than influence, we want to make an impact. #2, Aim is not to be the forward player or opener but play in the midfield or in the middle order #3,Questioning the norm or proving seniors (whom we respect) wrong is more exciting; #4 passion is not towards work but towards results; #5 Actually we are very much practical (coz we think it is possible):-)

2121Insightful, as ever, Vineet. However: In organizational life, while all the other categories do get their rightful place, the Support Players and the Emotional Fools, typically don't. "If you aren't visible, you aren't contributing" and "Office is a place for exact science and cold objectivity", seems to be the thought process that denies them their just desserts.

2183Very thoughtful article. I believe all 5 points are so practical and fit today's realm of things. This I feel aptly fits Druckers statement "make your people strengths effective and weaknesses irrelevant to get an effective joint performance" and the laws of leadership by Maxwell in today's world. Thanks again for sharing a different but very relevant view on Leadership Traits.

2248Sir, I am grateful to you to have made me realize what i can do and what i have been doing, in the 6 months of my career with HCL Technologies. I do identify myself with the kind of motivation which you are trying to instigate in all of us through your message. I should be thanking myself to have found this link which has been hidden from me since 6 months :-) I must admit that i am an emotional fool and have learnt a lot throughh this attitude as well. Thanks for letting me know you think similar. Its a great boost for me.

2262Hi Vineet, Liked this article. The best part I totally agree is all Leaders & Entrepreneurs are necessarily RISK TAKERS. Adding to that we also believe that they are necessarily big DREAMERS too:) Cheers Prabir
